Musing From my Muse

Snails Cannot be rushed.
The mystery of time can be introduced by no greater example than the snail.
This amazing being fearlessly goes about its day in a pace that overwhelms!
Slow food indeed.
Watching this beauty enjoy a single blade of grass..
to see how they join to make love and watch this slow dance from above, makes your heart open to a rhythm not heard in awhile.
What beautiful creatures these beings of light and love!
Reminding me fast is not always the beauty way.
They help me reach into another wave to see the world in another hue.
Thank you snails.
******
Life is funny stuff the more you listen to it the more that remains a mystery.

*******
My muse the can opener cracks another lid.
What have I opened now?

UBUNTU!!! I am because we are! Love your Xhosa children!

An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: ''UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?''
'UBUNTU' in the Xhosa culture means: "I am because we are"
Happy Earth Day!

Delicious Honey of Summer.

I am back in Uppsala and helped with the bees! Two days of sticky, yummy golden goodness!

We collected honey from 16 apiaries and spun it to collect a lot of honey.

The bees have been busy this year!

I love being around the hum of their sound.

I love their amazingness.

Resting in the sun of their beauty.  Thank you Bees.

(On this site you might just find someone you know... a fun little adventure..)

So grateful to my friend Lucian.  I have been staying at his home in the countryside and it has been so peaceful.  I wake up with the cows and the pheasants and the birds.

So nice to have space to empty in many many ways.

Here are a few of the creations... I will have to take pictures of the others at another time.  As wonderful as it is, it is time to roll back to Uppsala. It is spring honey harvest time! Whoo Hoo!
All my love to friends and family. Peace.

Gotland Pictures

Limestone shore lines. Magic!

Fantastic weather in Gotland this week. So warm. The sea so beautiful. If the wind blows from the seas brrrrrr water is still really cold.  I met some amazing new friends on the journey.. An international experience swedish man Peter Lindberg, Latvian woman Jelena, Belgium man Lucian, and a man from India.  Artists with different paint brushes that somehow mix together beautifully.
Reconnected with friends Karin and Suk hi Cho, Linus, Annette, William and Tobias.

So wonderful to see the little tree house that William and Tobias made. William also fixed my bike and he is 6. He told me that this was a temporary fix that I needed grease and it has slack and the back gears needed something... He was right the back gears did not work.  Amazing!

Professor Ahdi and Lucian and I spent the week in the countryside of  the Stone Church city.  Here we did some repairs to his house and gave it a loving soul.  Wonderful photographer. Ahdi was here visiting with him. We danced some Indian dances and sang some songs.

I then brought Ahdi back to Uppsala to meet Torbjorn and my friend AnnKarina who also is an artist with some Indian traditional influences.  Beautiful to see people meet.

Life is adventurous and good.  I am accepted to the textile school this fall so I will be in the north, Sveg.

Much love to all on the road.  Humanity truly is amazing when you trust it.

hugs,
Alissa
