Bright Side of the Moon
Music is a vibration that moves...
Music is a vibration that feels...
Music is a vibration that unites...
Music is is a vibration to be shared...
Will you play with me?
Will you sing with me?
Will you dance with me?
What does your soul dream to open to?
What does your voice dream to sing to?
What does you body dream to flow through?
ENJOY THE BRIGHT SIDE OF THE MOON!

Slow Love.
These beauties are the finest example of the beauty of slow love.
Wrapped in each other, waving in a slow beautiful dance.
Embodied patience, listening and slow joy.
Slowing down and allowing life to lead us in the direction of our heart seems to be the best way to be.
Love guides us to the right people, the right places with very little effort.
Slow is fast. Fast is Slow.
May we dance in the slow river and find ourselves being carried by beauty and light.

Musing From my Muse
Snails Cannot be rushed.
The mystery of time can be introduced by no greater example than the snail.
This amazing being fearlessly goes about its day in a pace that overwhelms!
Slow food indeed.
Watching this beauty enjoy a single blade of grass..
to see how they join to make love and watch this slow dance from above, makes your heart open to a rhythm not heard in awhile.
What beautiful creatures these beings of light and love!
Reminding me fast is not always the beauty way.
They help me reach into another wave to see the world in another hue.
Thank you snails.
******
Life is funny stuff the more you listen to it the more that remains a mystery.
*******
My muse the can opener cracks another lid.
What have I opened now?
*************
Grand ideas take seconds...
seasons...
lifetimes...
to renew and review.

UBUNTU!!! I am because we are! Love your Xhosa children!
An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: ''UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?''
'UBUNTU' in the Xhosa culture means: "I am because we are"
Happy Earth Day!

Delicious Honey of Summer.
I am back in Uppsala and helped with the bees! Two days of sticky, yummy golden goodness!
We collected honey from 16 apiaries and spun it to collect a lot of honey.
The bees have been busy this year!
I love being around the hum of their sound.
I love their amazingness.
Resting in the sun of their beauty. Thank you Bees.

Carola Edlund design and art.
(On this site you might just find someone you know... a fun little adventure..)
So grateful to my friend Lucian. I have been staying at his home in the countryside and it has been so peaceful. I wake up with the cows and the pheasants and the birds.
So nice to have space to empty in many many ways.
Here are a few of the creations... I will have to take pictures of the others at another time. As wonderful as it is, it is time to roll back to Uppsala. It is spring honey harvest time! Whoo Hoo!
All my love to friends and family. Peace.

Fantastic weather in Gotland this week. So warm. The sea so beautiful. If the wind blows from the seas brrrrrr water is still really cold. I met some amazing new friends on the journey.. An international experience swedish man Peter Lindberg, Latvian woman Jelena, Belgium man Lucian, and a man from India. Artists with different paint brushes that somehow mix together beautifully.
Reconnected with friends Karin and Suk hi Cho, Linus, Annette, William and Tobias.
So wonderful to see the little tree house that William and Tobias made. William also fixed my bike and he is 6. He told me that this was a temporary fix that I needed grease and it has slack and the back gears needed something... He was right the back gears did not work. Amazing!
Professor Ahdi and Lucian and I spent the week in the countryside of the Stone Church city. Here we did some repairs to his house and gave it a loving soul. Wonderful photographer. Ahdi was here visiting with him. We danced some Indian dances and sang some songs.
I then brought Ahdi back to Uppsala to meet Torbjorn and my friend AnnKarina who also is an artist with some Indian traditional influences. Beautiful to see people meet.
Life is adventurous and good. I am accepted to the textile school this fall so I will be in the north, Sveg.
Much love to all on the road. Humanity truly is amazing when you trust it.
hugs,
Alissa
This is Norman Nordvind my traveling companion. He stole a cookie from the bread bowl :) hee hee

All is well in Sweden. Been doing a little dancing, a little knitting, a little spring cleaning, lots of lovin' and celebrating friends. Today I am on my way to Gotland.
Opening my sails to the winds to see what blows in next.
This fall I will be heading "Up Nort" to attend a textile course from the ground up! A really wonderful place. Turn on your google translators and check it out!
http://www.backedal.se/artikel/l%C3%A5nga-kurser/textil-kl%C3%A4der
I'm dreaming in a world of clothes from the earth that are versatile and flexible, sizeless, fun and beautiful, and... made from my own hands! I dream of a world where we create clothing as locally as possible, that are durable and have adjustable waists and sizing that allows you to grow and change with the seasons. I dream of designs and colors that are playful joyous and fun to wear. It feels for me like I honor myself and the animals and plants with this closeness :)
And I would love to have rain gear that is not synthetic....maybe fish guts (they do make them), maybe leather...we will see! :)
Going to Gotland to visit people and sheep! Happy beginning of summer to you all!

Light a fire
Sip some tea
Do whatever helps you be!
Sing a song
Clang a gong
Play whatever sound your heart needs now.
Gather round
Sit alone
Reach out to what your spirit pleases,
but honor the cycles and tides that flow
in and out
and out and in
and open your heart to the world!

I love spring with all the pink flowers blooming everywhere can't help but feel so gentle. Today I visited a new mom and baby girl. Aww what a glow surrounds birth. Both for the child and for a new mom. New bridges for both. Truly a miracle.
So grateful for the gift of mothers, babies, flowers and newness.
Thanks to all the seeds that the fathers also help make this miracle happen.
Glow.
Life.
Beauty.
Thanks Creator of All Things.

BEEEEEE Happy!
Today Torbjörn and I worked with beekeeper Joachim de Miranda. We helped move a colony to sunny location where there are many flowers and trees!
So grateful for these wonderful pollenators who keep the love and life flowing around. Also grateful for those who do this labor of love. It is a lot of work and at times you really have to take a sting or two!
No fear, All love, No Stings...I think this is my new life motto :)
For those of you in the Uppsala area that would like to purchase local honey here is his information.
We can all help these beautiful ones and the other pollenators butterflies, bats, beetles, hummingbirds, by planting a wide variety of flowers in your home or neighborhood.
Yay to the bee!

For over an hour we just sat and were together.
What a gift!
Thank you Hawk Owl for being.

As the spring rain falls and washes the earth I celebrate the newness and purity of its smells.
I also feel grateful for the nourishment and beauty it brings igniting the burst of spring!
I too welcome newness.
The baby green leaves bring me hope as I step forward into a new place and a new time.
Celebrating where I came from and walking in spring with an open heart.

Weaving Dreamup ...a New Space
Dreamup is a space to share our dreams.
I open this space to share where the spirit leads me and to hear where it leads you.
It is created with the intention to be the thread to connect us as we each weave our own paths.
Dreamup shares the words of William Coperthwaite, "My central concern is encouragement-encouraging people to seek, to experiment, to plan, to create, and to dream. If enough people do this we will find a better way."
We find a better way when we open ourselves to co-create with the universe. When we do, infinity is possible; heaven and earth become one and so do we. The creations, the words, the music, the inspiration, in this space comes from my beloved mother earth and the unseen, unimaginable wonderfulness.
May you rest in the certainty of uncertainty.
My hope is in the love and beauty of that small voice, that small seed in the center of your heart.
May it grow wildly and be your guide!!!
I am moving to Sweden on Monday. Subscribe to this blog if you are interested in threading in!
